ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
This exhibition combines both unique, fine art jewelry and couture fashion that take inspiration from the natural world. An exhibition of the jewelry alone, Beautiful Creatures, was curated by Marion Fasel for the American Museum of Natural History.

APPROACH

This luxe and intimate exhibition was designed for the fashion curious. Whilst these items mimic wild and whimsical creatures, they actually resided in penthouses, mansions, and castles. Their owners were heiresses and socialites so this exhibit places them in the concrete jungle. The majority of the exhibit space is a concrete imitation material, with statement walls of anodized aluminum. The Pepper's Ghost technique is used to create holograms of the jewelry and Iris Van Herpen, Sensory Seas Collection, thus allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the pieces.
